At the 27th Native American Fish and Wildlife Society Annual Conference, Kurt Broz of the Pala Environmental Department shared about the partnership between the Pala Band of Mission Indians and the Climate Science Alliance. The Alliance partnered with Pala to create the Climate Kids - Tribes program in early 2016 and has since grown to partner with local Tribal Nations across the Southwestern United States. This year, with help from our Tribal Working Group and Tribal educational partners, we have worked to incorporate Tribal educational resources into each of our traveling trunks - oceans, carnivores, and pollinators.

Kurt, a wildlife biologist at the Pala Environmental Department, talked about how conference attendees can get involved with the Alliance and Climate Kids and integrate our model into their own communities to build climate change readiness and education.
